Emma Goad

Arts, Cultural & Heritage Fundraising Virtual Summit 2020

Emma Goad
(In Memoriam)

On 5 August 2020 our wonderful colleague Emma Goad passed away. Emma is survived by her husband Will and two sons.

On the request of her family, we will broadcast Emma’s session as part of #ArtsSummit as they believe it would be her wish to continue to make a difference to the cultural sector – a passion she dedicated herself to throughout her career.

In Emma’s honour we have named the Emcees award for outstanding NAFS alumni as the Emma Goad Award.

Emma Goad set up Blue Canary Consultancy in September 2014 to support cultural organisations in approaches to fundraising, deepening impact and developing business models. She has worked nationally and with a focus on some of Wales and the South West’s most influential and exciting creative organisations including National Dance Company Wales, Daisi (Exeter), Theatre Bristol, British Council Wales and Beyond the Border Storytelling Festival. Emma was also a national advisor for the Arts Council of Wales, working on their Resilience Programme.
